Also kind of insulting to act like the extent of the lawlessness was the three shootings, and gee it's too bad, but no cops were present for that, so oh well.

A veto of the 60-day pre-eviction notice tells people that you want them evicted into the cold earlier and that youβre unwilling to protect our immigrant neighbors.
Let Mayor Frey know you want him to sign Pause Evictions, Save Lives.

The policy being debated, which I think the mayor is likely to veto, is temporarily adding an extra 30 days notice (60 total) on evictions thru the summer, after which it will revert to existing 30. Seems like an especially small gesture considering the magnitude of what people have been through.

We still have hundreds of families detained and loved ones who need our support.
Mario is a father and his family became victims of fraud by attorneys who took advantage of their vulnerability. Please help us raise the funds needed to bring him back home.

Minneapolis passed a pre-eviction extension yesterday which we now need Mayor Frey to sign so it can become law & give us more time to help people with their rent.
Keep reaching out to your local officials to ensure weβre standing up for policy that keeps families together & leaves no one behind.
We still need people out there patrolling and pressuring government to do more to help our neighbors still suffering.

A lot of politicians think itβs time to move on, but how can we move on when this isnβt even over.
This is to say: if you're an attorney who's hesitated to take on habeas cases because you think you lack the knowledge, or you're worried about whether you'll really help, I PROMISE you can make a difference. I'm just a dipshit with a 7-year-old laptop and a bad attitude. If I can do it, so can you.

I had never sued the federal government and now I've beaten them 10 times.

Some professors at the University of St. Thomas are doing a research project on the effects of the ICE occupation on Twin Cities parents. They're looking for parents who are US citizens, who live in the Twin Cities metro area, and who have kids ages 5-10.

For anyone wondering where that $6,800 number comes from, it's a study by the Kinder Institute for Urban Research at Rice University. Texas and MN are not 1:1, but those dollar values are 2019$, and researchers suggested they could be an undercount to begin with

We have an amazing opportunity in the Twin Cities. If @mndot.mn.gov would allow it, we could actually Rethink I-94, reduce pollution and forced car dependency, and the make our cities better & more vibrant for the people who live here.

Also unclear what happened to the other five people she was detained with at O'Hare airport.

Revenge is good enough motivation for me personally, but the nobler and important reason is to ensure that anyone who thinks of doing this again knows theyβll rot in prison for it.
