Rocket, near the end of Vol. 3, with the High Evolutionary at his mercy, lowers his gun.

Rocket tells Drax that he won't kill the High Evolutionary because "I'm a freaking Guardian of the Galaxy".

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are walking. Blue listens intently as Green goes on talking as he talks, leading the way. Green: Once we get home, I'll read a book, weave two baskets, re-arrange the pantry, learn esperanto- Blue interrupts Green, who turns to listen. Blue: That's quite a list. Are you sure you're being completely realistic? Green takes a momentary pause from being cartoonish, being now depicted as a painstakingly detailed and shaded painting of a fox, with fur texture, whiskers and all. Extremely realistic Green: Of course. Returning back to normal, Green keeps walking. Blue follows, looking at Green with suspicion. Blue: How long did it take you to draw that gag? Green: A lot longer than I am willing to admit.

You have some presence of mind to be taking photos from the ambulance. I hope you're recovering fast.

Unseen maintenance fox: Hello, I'm here to change the air filter. Blue and Green both relax, still coiled together but visibly relieved. Blue: Oh thank goodness, I thought we got surprise guests.

Will not be surprised if they're eventually studying yours!

I finally replaced some of the training and running shirts that I've worn to threads.

I'd loved people who felt useless, by then. I'd had loved ones in my charge, by then, and when I'd lost them, I'd felt useless myself. And in Milton's once-staid exchange with Patience, I saw something that I have never since seen as anything less. ...

I'd never stopped being lucky. But however old I was the second time around, it was old enough that that feeling wasn't beyond me anymore: one of the foundational poets of the English language, feeling useless because he was blind. ...

It was a long time before I returned to "When I Consider How My Light Is Spent". I don't remember why I did; probably just bumped into it re-reading some anthology.

So I didn't understand Milton, right from the start. That is, I think I managed to tease out his literal meaning, but I couldn't imagine -- I don't think it occurred to me to _try_ to imagine -- what this feeling was:
