👀 The best thing I am likely to share this week

I'm asking my first-years to do their own manual markup of PDFs (using Preview or Adobe Reader or who cares).

This is new so I didn't bring expectations, and markup is new for some anyway. So far, seeing uniqueness that looks authentic. I think they're reading/engaging for content. I think.

Our campus librarians tend to have a "hive mind," meaning they often hash things out in meetings and show a somewhat unified front. But they're NOT of one mind on intrusion in the databases. #AI is disrupting #InfoLit at the core, I think.

We don't have years for ACRL to figure this out.

Honestly one of the best things on social media is when that kind of thing happens—hilarity ensues, etc. when our whole selves shock others. You have NO IDEA how much I wanted to show my behind and not just read along about Hallmark Xmas movies back when. 😆
