It seems obvious to me that the ICE thugs have been trained to castigate anyone that defies them as doing assualt. This is ridiculous and shows that they really are not a police unit but rather a political fear force.

This is just normal Republican scare tactics. In Massachusetts, when they had a wealth tax on the ballot, they said all the rich people would leave. It passed and they did not leave.

While I agree that SCOTUS reform is needed, we should also look at the GOP SCOTUS that said that stopping someone becuase they looked hispanic or spoke Spanish which is in violation of the fourth amendment. They should be impeached.

You are correct. It is not just Joen Roberts but the entire GOP SCOTUS. When the GOP SCOTUS said that it was OK to stop people because they looked hispanic or spoke Spanish, they disregarded the fourth amendment. This alone should result in impeachment of the GOP SCOTUS.

Unfortunately, the US media has been completely compromised. I get my news from the Irish Times and the BBC. There you will at least find some stories that mention this.

I think this is a flag pole operation. I think the Republicans know that IF there are midterm elections they will lose. One way to deal with that would be to not swear in any Democrats. If you think this is over the top, you have not been paying attention.

Health care is not affordable because we have a for-profit based system that uses insurance. Insurance companies only profit when they deny care. What Americans need is what every other industrialized nation on earth has which is single payer universal healthcare. In all cases it cost less.

When TV was mostly broadcast (yes, I'm that old), there were many rules about ownership and what and when things could be broadcast. Now that the majority of the TV comes from the internet, all the rules are gone. I have to ask why? Maybe, just maybe we should add these rules backs for all TV.

Whe you have a government for billionaires by billionaires, this is what you get. The minimum wage in this country needs to be raised to at least $18. Corporation profits above a billion dollars need to be taxed at 85%. This would force reinvestment in the business to avoid the taxes.
