We'll see! I think Republicans are in for quite a wake-up call in the midterms. (I'll equivocate enough to add, "If we HAVE midterms.")

Mmmm, to be honest, I've never been all that impressed with him. I agree with most of his ideas (not quite all), but his solutions are not fully thought through. He seems to me to be more interested in personal cult-like status than buckling down and doing the detailed hard work. Sorry.

I had hoped that we'd move closer to socialism by peaceful means and an understanding that universal health care, education, housing, food, etc., means a better life for ALL Americans. I'm sorry to say that I think you are very possibly right, and we may be in for a violent civil war.

Oh, many. My husband and son-in-law, for two. Almost all the men I personally know are resisters and strongly support women's rights, including women's health rights. We have 2 daughters. My husband would much rather have a living, healthy daughter than another grandchild, much as we adore them.

YES. THANK YOU. Age and term limits might mean we'd get rid of some nasty people, but Republican primaries tend to nominate the most right-wing candidates these days. And on the other hand, I wouldn't have wanted to get rid of people like John Lewis or Elijah Cumming because of age/term limits.

I think it could backfire pretty badly. I'll bet even with these gerrymanders, people are angry enough that they vote for Democrats across the board. My hunch is that there will be a Democratic Speaker of the House making Trump's life miserable.

Tearing it down when The Orange Slug is gone is a waste of money that we won't have. It'll be simpler, more useful, and cheaper to renovate it externally to the same classic style that the East Wing HAD, sell off all the gold garbage, and renovate it internally into offices.
