Its a fundraiser in Southside Va for fire stations, churches, civic originations. Local drive in keeps it full time & sells by the quart. Its bland so have to add some spice but good. Especially with cornbread on the side.

Had it with Va "Brunswick" stew; which is like a Kentucky Burgoo or colonial Hunter's Stew. Hunter's stew was made during Long Hunts with dried beans, potatoes, corn, herbs & small game you shot: a perpetual pot. Brunswick- chicken, beans, corn, peas, potatoes, onions and some tomato: slow cooked.

Wife & I voted today to approve the referendum, to counter GOP efforts to wipe out Democratic districts in Texas and other states.
Plastered all over town are "Vote No- *Save Virginia* posters.
