It doesn’t help to say “Dems need to stand strong” when they haven’t been doing so, Dem leadership hasn’t changed, & we have no power to make them do anything. We’ve spent half a century following Democratic leadership instead of pushing it to the left. I hope it’s not too late for us to get moving.

It’s not that I advocate for capitulation. I just don’t have confidence in Dem leadership standing strong. It’s been so long since that’s happened, I can’t remember the last time they did. There isn’t a third party we can turn to. We’re more than ready to create something new. I hope we get there.

No, they won’t. The Democratic Party won’t “learn” to fight fascism/oppression. Dems get power from the same system that allows fascism/oppression to control Republican Party. True victory would eliminate money in politics, Electoral College…the system itself.
