One of two movies Iβve ever walked out of. Felt queasy watching, which I think was the point? Didnβt matter.

10.03.2026 17:07 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 07-3??!! Every time Iβm ready to throw in the towel, they respond.
10.03.2026 01:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Last I checked we were up 3-0. Now, even if we win, weβve already lost.
10.03.2026 00:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hope has dimmed.
10.03.2026 00:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It worked!! Thank you!
10.03.2026 00:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We have Tide here. Just bought it. Iβll give it the olβ college try. Thank you!
08.03.2026 06:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You can do it! We believe in you, Pat!
08.03.2026 06:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Pinot Noir, Giammati assured me, but did he ever spill any on his favorite light-colored pullover? Itβs enough to make me a Merlot man from here on.
08.03.2026 06:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My countenance has darkened upon the discovery that a drop of red wine consumed during tonightβs movie spilled onto my favorite, light-colored pullover. That stain isnβt coming out. We had a great run, pullover, but it was wine that took us down. And the wine wasnβt even all that good.
08.03.2026 06:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0This is the βPopβ channel, so itβs top artists (people even *Iβve* heard of). Some of the videos dare to [gasp!] tell stories, and I find myself enjoying them. Give me an hour and Iβll be bored, but until thenβ¦
07.03.2026 14:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Never had cable and used to enjoy being at relativesβ places or hotels where I could scroll cable channels. In the streaming era, I donβt really even know HOW to watch TV, but at an Air BnB, Iβve selected βMusic Videosβ and itβs like Iβm 13 again. Could watch for hours. Are music videos good again?
07.03.2026 14:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm a fan of the earlier cast recording but had never seen the play until today. I was pretty bowled over by the performers. And while Linklaterβs version will be fun to watch someday, it wonβt have one of the things that sets this filmed performance apart: raucous applause after some of the songs.
07.03.2026 06:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's a tough word to spell, but if you're going to put it in huge type in a headline, you need to get it right.
06.03.2026 17:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yup. I barely made it in time.
06.03.2026 17:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you ever want to borrow my Blu, just say the word. It's a rare film I'm happy to proselytize for. First saw it on Kanopy, but I no longer have full access to that platform and don't know if it's still available there.
06.03.2026 12:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0#letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched Very happy to be in the pro camp - very pro - on the latest Verbinski. As for the latest Franco, well, one day I imagine I'll see a movie of his I like. He's 0 for 3 with me so far, although the other two came closer than DREAMS to favorability with me.
06.03.2026 12:47 β π 17 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0#nw Not an exaggeration to say this movie changed my life. So glad I bought the Blu-ray and watched the extras, which have galvanized me anew. Beautiful and mind-expanding.
06.03.2026 02:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0(But the βwhyβ of the lack of media coverage as presented in that article is, I think, correct. And thatβs even *more* sickening.)
05.03.2026 11:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Look, you donβt even have to buy into the βwhyβ of the lack of media coverage as presented in the linked article. The bombing itself - even if accidental, *certainly* if in any way intentional - is so heinous that, if weβre responsible, we should hang our heads in shame, apologize, and end the war.
05.03.2026 11:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The term βoutrageousβ has lost all salience, but this incident - and the subsequent lack of coverage - fits the term. As I told friends upon hearing of it, if we did this we should end this operation immediately. But first someone would have to admit that we were responsible. And no one will.
05.03.2026 11:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I wish I could do this. (Also: I wish I took the train more often. Sounds restful.)
04.03.2026 12:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is this a lingering LA LA LAND effect?
04.03.2026 12:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That's a big miss, Pat. :)
04.03.2026 12:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Or should I say, colleagues.
04.03.2026 00:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whoa. Hope your colleague is safe.

03.03.2026 21:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't always wade into Thomas Edsall's articles, but I couldn't resist today's look at JD Vance and the enemies of classic liberalism (my characterization, but I don't think those guys would object). The conclusion is ... well, just read it. You'll see. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/03/o...
03.03.2026 13:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You ever watch a movie youβve heard about for years and pictured in your head and then, during the opening credits, you realize itβs *nothing like* what youβd imagined? I have just started Felliniβs JULIET OF THE SPIRITS.
03.03.2026 01:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0People got into this in the replies. (Some better than others, as always.)
