Look, you don’t even have to buy into the “why” of the lack of media coverage as presented in the linked article. The bombing itself - even if accidental, *certainly* if in any way intentional - is so heinous that, if we’re responsible, we should hang our heads in shame, apologize, and end the war.

The term “outrageous” has lost all salience, but this incident - and the subsequent lack of coverage - fits the term. As I told friends upon hearing of it, if we did this we should end this operation immediately. But first someone would have to admit that we were responsible. And no one will.

I wish I could do this. (Also: I wish I took the train more often. Sounds restful.)

Father Mother Sister Brother is Jarmusch's best film in 30 years. Everyone in it is delightful, and then, to top it all off, Françoise Lebrun drops by for one scene and totally wrecked me.
