There has been a lot of discourse and impassioned debate on this topic. So here are my thoughts, having worked extensively on this topic at Westminster π

The @thesnp.bsky.social budget is a bread and butter budget. Exactly what I'd expect from @johnswinney.bsky.social - I am seriously impressed.
05.12.2024 17:52 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ohhh good question! I think both caught me a little off guard.
VERY impressed with the budget. Sabrina Carpenter not being in my top 5 on Spotify shocked me.
Spotify wrapped and the budget all in one day - my head is like π€―
04.12.2024 22:17 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This should be an absolute source of shame for us as a country, far too many of our fellow people are desperately trying to survive in a rich nation.

16.11.2024 23:25 β π 13 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well this is odd: the new Treasury select committee doesn't have any MPs from Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, and is dominated by MPs from London and the south east. Just one from northern England (Darlington).

π Scotland has seen the second highest growth in employment in the UK this month.
πͺπΊ We were second only to Northern Ireland - which unlike Scotland, has access to the EU single market.
π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ Scotland continues to enjoy a higher employment rate than England.
Trying this out for size, given the toxicity of the other place.
I mainly talk about politics. So follow if you want to keep up with that π
