Seminary Life means working on a paper from the family cabin's garage on the 4th of July weekend.

I just learned that the state of MN considers communion bread True Food and thus it is not subject to sales tax.

We have a somewhat bilingual congregation, so we drop one reading but then read the Gospel in two languages.

Today in the Episcopal Church we remember Enmegahbowh (c. 1820 – June 12, 1902; meaning "He that prays for his people while standing"). Born in Canada, he was the first First Nation's person to be ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church. ⚓

While I am one of those later-in-life seminarians who can't easily completely uproot, My favorite part of hybrid education is the 4 weeks/year I spend on campus praying, learning, and eating together. Ironically, having local access to Luther's library has been great for my distance studies.
