09.07.2025 15:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fellow creatives... how do you juggle the internal struggle of "don't do free work because that's a rabbit hole path" , but at the same time "these are friends that really could use some help and I really want to see them succeed" ?
23.05.2025 18:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Alrighty... crazy busy weeks of hell at work are over. Back to our usual programming. Starting off with rest, because you know, burnout is a real thing.
23.05.2025 18:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hey Ryan, thanks for sharing! And thank you for making Keys & Curves real. Like real stuff that happens to us and our industry. The situation sucks, honestly the whole world situation sucks rn. But to answer your questions: yes, a lot of us are spooked and asking what will happen. I'll tag along...

One of them days...
Well then... good to know I jinxed myself... π©
Maybe get it rendered and hold on to the files next time lol
usiest time of the year at work. You know there'll be long days. You pull a couple long ones on your terms, render 120+ screens to get ahead. Finish templatizing the project for another 325.
200GB packaged and delivered 9 days ahead!
They call: 85% of the in-venue screens are changing.
I'm fine π«₯
Dang... it fills the 100GB I set for it so quick I was thought I was doing something wrong.
Oh well! Good to know! Thanks
Motion Design folks: is it just me? Or does anyone else have to empty their memory and cache from After Effects several times a day? Honestly, some of my larger - full stadium takeovers, might have to even be a couple of times per hour.
If it's just me, what am I doing that is causing this? π€

07.05.2025 00:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I need to get in a habit like that. I feel like I can work so much better too... I can actually see my gradients now π
02.05.2025 14:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just a reminder to go clean your screen. And your keyboard while you're at it.
Yes, it feels like a brand new computer, doesn't it?
You're welcome.
Yep! I double checked and the editor I was sending this to was complaining it was too cumbersome to nail the timing and such when you have to dive into another sequence to adjust the replacement media in the mogrt.
The workaround: add a PP adj layer and it will preserve the transparency!
Organizing our new NAS server and found all my old edits in a (dusty) folder... I used to carry a camera on me 24/7 and edit a memory bank at the end of the year.
Kind of a Vlog with my favorite memories. Dang, those are sweet to rewatch! Even teared up at a couple π₯²
Gotta start doing those again
Let me dig the project where I had to send glassmorphism mograph to PP to refresh my memory. I'll let you know!
28.04.2025 19:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Interesting! Never heard of it. Thanks for sharing!
27.04.2025 22:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Such a different vibe from this channel that I felt like I had to share it. Love the overall design and how cohesive everything looks, plus we get some new takes on Mograph in Blender! Fun!
Honestly a lot of great tips and tuts here, so I can't recommend only one.
If you don't know what colony you are talking about, this almost feels like a social experiment.
26.04.2025 21:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0hmm.. Blending modes... Adjustment layers if we're feeling special. Imagine glassmorphism, with blurs that react to the background layer? A BG that will ultimately be swapped in PP. My current workaround is adding the adj. layer itself as media on the the Mogrt.
