Riso Riso Riso! We really got into Riso the last year or so, maintaining and troubleshooting 2 machines and 20+ colored drums. It’s been a labor of love (maybe more like obsessive compulsion) but we have become amateur Riso techs and we are happy to share them with our studio artists.

especially when one of us is the child of an immigrant and second generation Japanese American whose people were sent to interment camps here. We believe art, humanity, and community matter. We’re holding the line because it helps us stay sane, and because not everything good should be taken away

but we’re trying to stay focused and we’re committed to keeping this space open to the public as a place to see and experience art.
We will continue to forge ahead but it doesn’t mean we aren’t aware of the dire situation surrounding us all…

We were on a little anniversary vacay with limited gallery hours but we are back at it with regular hours starting today. With all the atrocities going on in our country it’s really hard to go on. Running a small business, especially a brick and mortar takes a lot of dedication…

Our country has been infiltrated with masked men lawlessly kidnapping brown people off the streets with no due process. There is nothing to celebrate here. 4th of July celebrates independence from a king. This is your flag, your country, don’t let them take it from We the People.

The corruption runs deep, the intentional cruelty and boasting of prison camps, cheering of the suffering of immigrants and wishing for their demise. Empathy is lost with these people, and with loss of empathy comes cruel atrocities.

It’s fair to say that we cannot say happy Fourth of July this year as a corrupt administration run by a convicted felon is running rampant profiting off our country and taking away the rights, social services, and healthcare of millions.
