Somebody made a comparison of all creatures between the OG #houseofthedead2 and the remake.
I think this is the best part of the remake - they really nailed the creature designs. Sure, some are iffy but most are more menacing.

But what do I know? I’m a filthy casual who has a soft spot for this franchise. HOTD has the backbones (read - BACKBONES) for a good lore. Maybe in a different timeline it would, and have more installments. (And Gary would be the poster creature hunting pretty boy lol)

…care about any other IP except for Sonic, Persona, and Yakuza. One of them isn’t originally their IP! SEGA (or SEGA America or SEGA Amusements) could’ve done their research and said “no” instead of approving this mess. But business is business and they need lots of profit. HOTD isn’t profitable.

As much as yes, the blame goes to the developers, sound directors, etc., it looks like, again, they were put under crunch time from execs hoping to make a quick buck. Time and time again, it shows that rushed deadlines don’t make good games.
SEGA also deserves some blame here. It’s clear they don’t
