When I was interviewed, I was interrogated at length about my unconventional improvised curriculum choices.
Just like with any job I apply for online, I would never have made it past an algorithm, or, god forbid, an AI application screener.

Which, I suppose, is entirely the point.

All that to say: it is getting really fucking hard to keep believing in peace and nonviolence in the face of all these atrocities, and we are only 9 months into this nightmare.

I also try to spread news to the people I work for and with, sometimes with success and fellowship, but all-too-often with shrugs or even argument over the facts of the moment. It's incredibly frustrating, and lends itself to so much anxiety and, dare I say, depression in the lowest moments.

So far, I've settled on mutual aid, helping my neighbors and their families with low-cost electrical work. I've helped entirely too many people move out of my neighborhood due to affordability, and black-listed just as many for their overly vehement beliefs in the current administration.

I'm struggling terribly to figure out what to do here. The people I see most, outside of my family and diminished friend circle, see what is happening and shrug and move on because it isn't affecting them directly (in a way they will acknowledge).

It is legitimately a minor miracle those storm troopers stopped to read documents, and possibly amazing that they have the capacity to read at all.
And the odds that any documents would even sway them? Astronomical.
