Great talk at Festival of Genomics this morning from @adamrutherford.bsky.social on scientific racism & the eugenic origins of the field of genetics. One takeaway: βstandard genetics teaching increases racist essentialist thinkingβ in students, instead we should start by introducing complex traits.
