I honestly just think it's the language barrier that gets a lot of people. Once they realize the language isn't that different, they can see that so many of the themes are still relevant today.

I always quote this "Your mama" joke when people say Shakespeare is too high-brow, too this, too that. Shakespeare had his stuff for the high and mighty, sure, but if he were alive today, he'd love things like reality TV and wrestling.

Oh! Just remembered. I have, on occasion, seen "piblings" used for aunts and uncles. I'm guessing the logic is "sibling(s) of my parent"? Not really a term I care for, but....

I've seen people use niblings for both aunts/uncles AND nieces/nephews, but that would just make things too confusing for me.

I would say the right, but I think I was using that side more because of a damaged tooth on the left. Now that said tooth is repaired, I can chew on both sides and I feel like I'm relearning how to eat.

Anyone know if it's possible to figure out an Etsy store's name from an old link? I had a cross-stitch pattern bookmarked, but it's since sold so the link is now invalid. I was hoping I could contact the seller and ask about commissioning a pattern.

My root canal was... $1200, I think? But that was covered too. Today was a bunch of fillings. Before CDCP, I hadn't been to the dentist in about 10 years.

I got about $1000 of dental work done for free today, thanks to the Canada Dental Care Plan. It doesn't feel pleasant at the moment, but I'm glad the work is done.

I'm tried of sites/apps that require an email address AND a phone number to sign up. It's discriminatory, of course (not everyone has a cell phone), but it's also just annoying. I don't want to give my phone number out all the time.

I said the same thing about Twitter as well. If a post gets edited, it should have a pop-up with the original message and a space for the poster to say why it was edited. Because you know some asshole will post "I love dogs!" and change it to "I love [reprehensible thing]" just to get screenshots.
