I just got an email titled: "Stuck in a career rut?"
I thought, no, it's the opposite of a rut - things are moving, but I'm not sure which way things are going and how fast.

Maybe a career ice hill? My feet might go out from under me; I might start sliding downhill; or I might skate through fine.

We get Medline through EBSCO, and I asked about whether updates that remove entries would also remove them from EBSCO's database. Answer, after a long wait: yes, updates override the current database. So while journals being removed would get noticed, individual records would not.

It has officially happened. I have been officially let go from my position at CDC. I wasn’t a probationary employee. I had stellar performance reviews every year.

Here’s something else you need to know: while there are approximately 2 million FedGov civil servants carrying that load for you daily, there are 20 million LocalGov civil servants standing right behind them, ready to hold this place together while the toxins leave our system.

Once or twice I've had trouble importing an RIS file and ended up importing it into another citation tool, re-exporting, and then importing it into the one I'm using for a project.
