I lost some wonderful colleagues today due to a self imposed budget crisis at my university. As the names pour in, most of the folks are folks of color or queer folks. I’m disgusted. I’m enraged. I’m so sick of the polite racism that exists in perceived ‘sanctuary cities’. Just feeling heavy today.
