One bright spot for trans people in Montana: Today's SCOTUS decision does not touch Montana. That's because Montana overturned its gender affirming care ban through the state Supreme Court. States are allowed to have protections that go beyond the US constitution, and thus that ruling is unaffected.

Remember this iconic photo from Ferguson? This is Edward Crawford, throwing back a tear gas canister to protect some nearby kids.

Like many identified Ferguson protesters and organizers, he was "found dead" a couple years later and neither the cops nor the media will ever investigate.

Whenever yall ask how these ppl today would treat Martin Luther king? I say look how they treat Rev barber. Most of the left has never heard of him and doesn't amplify the message of the poor ppls campaign, and the right would do everything in their power to keep it that way

cis people can and should speak out but probably more importantly they can and should use their privilege to ensure trans people speaking for ourselves get heard. cis and an outlet wants your thoughts? insist they include trans voices first.

Someone on TikTok pointed out that Pedro Pascal’s two sentence Instagram comment got more press for trans rights than all trans people combined in the wake of this ruling- which is infuriating but also a reason for more cis people to speak out
