The “overdiagnosed ADHD” debate continues… but here’s what late diagnosis looks like for many women:

❌ Years of criticism
❌ No support = low self-esteem, guilt and shame
✅ Diagnosis = clarity, healing and feeling like life is more worth living

This matters. So does the research

Youth LIVES Working with young people to co-design relevant mental health research by identifying priority research questions and addressing these.

Woah, what an evening! Started with hosting YouthLIVES (www.sei.org/projects/you...) celebration event with the fab @drrhysarcher.bsky.social where youth researchers, funders and 'old' researchers talked about their experiences, and ended singing in York with the equally fab #PoolBridge choir

That's the exact issue, that slight misalignment between language and the conditions they're alluding to which further obscures and stigmatises (actually) autistic people or those with OCD.

Some will take it as a definition of autistic behaviour and others will be harmed by the allusion.
