@mickeyundertone.bsky.social it's a catastrophe. I can no longer listen to your music shows as the BBC have erected an iron curtain against those outside the UK. The Sounds app is no more. A Brexit bonus? Any idea how I can listen to your dulcet tones in Germany?

It means a literal parade in his honour.
It means a banquet with the royals.
It is one of the highest honours we have to give.
After what we saw yesterday, it must not be allowed to happen.
I have read several recent surveys that clearly state a lot of people regret voting to leave. You do not see these stories, or you choose to ignore them?
18.02.2025 11:15 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0What lies; Turkey will join EU, 350 million per week, oven ready deal, the kipper in plastic, no border down the irish sea, they need us more than we need them, trade deals galore, cheaper food, no friction at the border. How do not know these stories? How fucking blind are you?
18.02.2025 11:14 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0You ask for proof; there is a plenty of news stories about companies no longer selling in Europe because of the red tape and extra costs. Similarly, food imports are also compromised. Fishermen not being able to sell their fish when they used to do it easily. And so on and so on. But you are blind.
18.02.2025 11:11 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0First, it's an English/Welsh thing, Scotland and N. Ireland voted remain. Second, you were lied to. Third, only around a third of the UK voted to leave.
Fourth, most people regret it.
Fifth, it's an economical disaster.
Sixth, it was the wrong decision.
Seventh, it's still the wrong decision.
Maybe not in your life it's unnecessary, but that's a feature of a certain demographic. One I don't rub shoulders with. Except on places like this. And I don't understand your narrow minded view. Pompous attitude. Privileged. Etc

good luck enforcing it. It is similar to when WhatsApp had an age limit of 16, and everyone just lied about the age of their kids. War on drugs...fail. War on social media for under 16's....fail. Don't forget that kids are more tech-savvy than their parents.

It's a pity that Labour are too scared to do the right thing. Spineless and brexit appeasement is their m.o.

This 1959 paper in the Japanese Journal of Microbiology shows HGT of resistance for the first time: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.... (link to PDF). Resistant phenotypes transfers from resistant Escherichia coli to susceptible Shigella and, even 60 years later, it is still a great read!
