The issue is not that the tennis season is too long (since many players NEED it to make a living) but rather the high number of mandatory requirements. Shortening the season will not only hurt majority of people, but it will also mean top players playing in many more exhibitions.

The characters felt a lot more human, went through more ups & downs, you saw their flaws, you empathized with them more & the development was a lot more multi-layered. Season 1 was a honeymoon. Season 2 was real marriage.

An awesome century, after claiming her 100th Grand Slam match win by winning her 6th major title at Wimbledon.

She grew the sport and elevated the WTA to great heights. Itβs going be very hard to replace that level of genuineness and passion she brought each & everyday.
