Tis the time of year wherein you must remind people who think they're Irish that
1) Irish people don't think "Paddy" is offensive, but calling us Patty's (and Patty's Day) is.
2) The shamrock has 3 leaves, not 4.
And when they correct YOU (or tell you you're being offensive) they're wrong.
That LOVING moment when @shutupexcalibur.bsky.social mentions Ireland in this week's #AEWDynamite.
Guess we have to go London for All In AGAIN this year.
Man you want to participate in something and then someone gives an answer so objectively correct that there’s no point adding onto it
Jesus, that phrasing.
Actually, it IS them being polite...it's them either not wanting to get fired or punched or shouted at.
X person brought this with them (at hight cost) and prepped for various tasks, so all the "on the spot" creativity just vanished to be replaced with attitude and money/sponsorship.
But I twigged earlier.
It's the editing, the pre-arranged and pre-planned "script" and order. What I had loved was the hot-second "here's stuff, do something with it" arts and creativity. I don't know if it's still there, but it definitely disappeared at the start of COVID when it just screamed
Something truly clicked in my head why I REALLY don't care about (or watch) Drag Race any more.
Gave up years ago, it wasn't really fun any more and it felt so forced, but I couldn't tell what it truly was, but I already follow Discord Addams on insta, so keep seeing updates (and happy for them.)
But not in the fun, hot and enjoyable way.
Guess who's really looking forward to watching Screen 7 this weekend?
NOT ME COS IT CAN GO FUCK ITSELF AGGRESSIVELY.
Jaysus, really am being INUNDATED with Hello Fresh stuff the last few days. Like, knocking at the door, TV placement, social media ads and now a sponsorship e-mail.
In fairness, this sponsorship e-mail is the first time I've properly looked into it and...I'm not sold.
That’s how you do it
So proud of US Women’s Hockey
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Remember having it in my bedroom when I was growing up and got a TV at about 8/9.
We then moved house at about 12 and the cable was never put up, so I had to live with the Irish channels but sometimes I could get some really bad feed.
Oh, them were the days.
Don't be silly, the straight women readers don't need/want to read that.
Wowza, congrats young man.
I remember it being on, but can't remember specifically where. I know in Dublin, we had about 10 channels via CableLink which would've included the BBCs, UTV, Channel 4. And, similarly, if you could set the aerial just right and close enough to NI, you'd get the Beeb.
At least they're not rubbing it in that you need them to function....
Oh, wait....
Holy shit, someone that followed me yday and I went "oh, I'll have to look at following them back when I'm on laptop tomorrow."
They've gone from "new to Bsky" to the thousands.
Something tells me we're not gonna interact much so....nah, thanks.
Nah.
Who...an acknowledgement at all is amazing, especially in this day and age.
I haven't applied in a VERY long time, but that bullshit of "not even auto-acknowledging" turned me aggressively against places and people.
Blankets are over-rated!!!
If you ask a robot to spin some spiritualism for you, you should be excommunicated and given a specially printed ticket that indicates a non-refundable trip to Hell.
No they don't.
Such "things" are not people.
Man who doesn't understand politics and political powers does things that are illegal. Shocked.
Shocked.

So I'm reading that as....
You're going without pants on.
Man-flu'd to absolute fuck since Monday afternoon. Sure, I got the Deftones gig in, I had the Tuesday off but....
Dear fuck, I'm full on cold, sore throat showing up as I write this and while I took two paracetamol at lunch, badly NEEDED to take again by 6.
*cries aggressively*
Chino, being a ride like usual.

Yeah that's totally appropriate and respectful of a company....
Fuck...
I had the making of a novel started before COVID but since it was Dublin nightlife and hook-ups, I couldn't really find the realism in my head for same when the world was going so shit.
And I just don't have the soul to go back when US politics and wars and genocide are going down.
But because it's "not our house" (but it's also not "someone else's") it's so fucking weird when we'll go "this is still our space, let's not buy the cheapest of cheap."
Myself and the husband live with my mam. Were renting for ten years, place needed work, landlord wouldn't do it and then wanted to up the rent; my mam in a 4 bed on her own, so...
It's not ideal, and we're doing good savings, but given the market at the mo, I can't see it being worth buying.
