Left leaning. Labour member and youth officer for Leeds West and Pudsey. Nothing said here is actually promoted by the Labour Party, just used for fun (and to escape Elon). Big Joy Division fan. #FBPE Yearning for Europe.

Landlord scheme improves homes in Harehills and Beeston THOUSANDS of tenants saw their homes improved after sub-standard living conditions were uncovered in a five-year inspections scheme.

Over 6000 people in some of our lowest-income areas saw improvements to their rented properties and were signposted to further welfare support. 85% of properties inspected were found to be non-compliant - proving how essential these schemes are.

โ€œBring back the 167 bus serviceโ€ says MP

I will continue to push for a direct, faster service from my constituency to Manchester to support growth, jobs, schools and new housing.

Weโ€™ve welcomed a new year
And a collapse of a political party.
Reform is coming apart at the seems. Happy days!
Now all we need is for the bumbling Rupert to take over to truly be the death knell in the electoral hopes of the party.
This will be a good year.

Merry Christmas everyone! ๐ŸŽ„

As we turn to thoughts of next year, I will be focussing on three things:
Better Transport
Early Years support
Jobs for local people

Until then I wish everyone a joyous holiday and a successful and prosperous New Year for 2025.

My worry with that is the other MPs track record of being quite socially conservative. They voted against the workerโ€™s rights bill. The only thing that unifies them is their pro-Palestine opinion. Without that they donโ€™t seem to agree at all. Corbyn will be on the left, but not sure about the others

To all those who quit the Labour Party over the puberty blockers, I understand you. However, you shouldnโ€™t quit. Quitting does nothing! We have to fight this from the inside. Change comes from within! If quitting seems like the only option then Iโ€™m sorry, but the party needs fighters, not quitters!

Kemi does not โ€œrip Keir a new oneโ€.
I donโ€™t know how much you watch of PMQs but Kemi comes across as arrogant and smug and completely disconnected from the reality of the situation. She was part of the last government so she is not any change. Any critique she makes is of her own actions.

11.12.2024 12:34 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Kemi Badenoch is a terrible Tory leader. Her role is to simply offer a counter argument to labour, however all her points come across as out of touch and smug. She seems to have no political sense. All I see when I see Kemi is someone who is desperate to prove anything wrong, even when itโ€™s trueโ€ฆ

Hi everyone, I've finally joined BlueSky. This is my official account (ignore imitations!)
I'll still be on Twitter (refuse to call it X) as it's hard to give up 219K followers. But X has become a haven for right-wing trolls/conspiracy theorists so am trying this out as an alternative.

Incredibly pleased there is going to be a prolonged debate about assisted dying. Even if it gets thrown back by the Lords, it will be for the best in the end. Let people die with dignity, but there cannot be any playing of the system. A safe bill is better than no bill. #AssistedDyingBill

Kemi may want Kier to resign over a petition (which is such a ridiculous political position to put herself in because itโ€™s idiocy) however she herself said that you canโ€™t overturn democracy based on a petition (one which may I say got nearly 3x this one)!
