I’m laughing because by definition, Olympics are international and I can think of at least a dozen countries where I have been (including the one where I live now) that are worse than any state in the U.S. No U.S. state would even get a bronze medal.

This is true for every city and town in Italy (no matter how small). There are always interesting details to be discovered.
