The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is a fiscal disaster that fails to deliver for working-class families in NJ and across the country.

Today, we are incredibly proud to break ground on the Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Center in Trenton, which will offer essential maternal and infant health care services and serve as a research and innovation hub to reshape maternal health.

Today, I visited Maplewood to sign legislation expanding driver’s education to include lessons on how to safely and responsibly share our streets with pedestrians and cyclists.

This law is a critical step forward in our mission of ending road fatalities and building a stronger and safer New Jersey.

I have been briefed on a lightning strike tonight at an outdoor archery range in Jackson. At this time, we have at least one fatality and multiple injuries.

All injured have been transported by first responders. Please pray for everyone involved in this tragic incident.

We are experiencing multiple thunderstorms tonight throughout North and Central Jersey along with a flood watch and isolated wind gusts.

This morning, I visited Berkeley Heights with Mayor Angie Devanney to survey the damage from last night’s devastating flash flooding and heavy rainfall.

We are committed to helping impacted communities get the assistance they need to recover.

Route 22 (between Washington Avenue in Green Brook and Terrill Road in Watchung) is closed in both directions to clear debris, make emergency road repairs, and remove abandoned cars caught in last night’s flooding.

Please avoid the area.

I am declaring a State of Emergency given flash flooding and high levels of rainfall in parts of the state.

Please stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel. Stay safe, New Jersey.

Max Lenowitz of Bergen County tragically died of fentanyl on his 25th birthday on July 14, 2022.

Today, we recognize Fentanyl Poisoning Awareness Day in New Jersey and raise awareness of the dangers of fentanyl — because no family should have to experience the agony of a tragedy like this.
