The SpaceX proposal is basically both a) a request for a blank check and b) a weapon to undermine both the FCC and beleaguered ITU (from hundreds of thousands of existing applications) in this space.

It does not require that you went to school for science.

Moderator @holdenthorp.bsky.social notes that “it’s only taken 178 years” for @AAASmtg to have a plenary with grad students! SNAP was started last year at #AAASmtg and now is 200 grad students strong, advocating for science. #SciPol As one panelist put it, “we’re meeting the moment” in science.
