This is exactly why they won’t do it. The govt wants us scared of being homeless so we don’t start thinking we are sovereign beings. But we ARE sovereign beings. 🥰

Plus…imagine how many programs the UBI would make moot. SSD/SSI/SNAP/Medicaid/EDD/WIC/etc. It would actually save billions of dollars for the government.

I’m also a CA voter for Newsom and I sent a 17 page letter to him by certified mail. And I’m a trans man. I’ve actually seen some of the tips in the letter put into place since then. Good advice is good advice, right? ☺️

A UBI of $2000 a month for everyone over 17 years old would revolutionize this country! Take 15% out for income taxes and 3% out for National Healthcare and they still have about $1750/month to live on. For some that’s enough, but most would still go to work for more money. But nobody would starve.
