I think we’ve once gotten 6 inches? Probably was that 2021 freeze. It’s wild we get snow now. When growing up, I was lucky just to see snow only fall. Child me would be so upset that adult me gets actual snow lmao

It really is! One day I hope to visit my brother up north to see true snow again haha

They are on clear nights! Sadly they’ll gradually get harder to see as there’s so much development around here, it won’t be long before city lights pollute my area too much. If I move further north, I’ll get to see them even better than I do now! But you see them better on camera most days

Those waiting on Ch19 of PSB, don’t fret! My sleep schedule has been earlier, so I wasn’t awake for my usual 2amCST upload. And my laptop was acting up bad, it thought 100% of its disk space was being used XD

I’m working on formatting the chapter as we speak, so expect it within the next two hours!

Which actually, here’s a pic of that freeze I told you about. This was actually January of THIS YEAR. I forgot we got snow this year too.

First time was a month into owning my Jeep cause we had bad rain, and I didn’t see a puddle when going maybe 50mph on a highway. Second was very minor from ice because a turn was just enough for me to start drifting but easy to correct.

I hope you never experience it! First time is always scariest

I love that my body punishes me for going to bed early/at a decent time for once. Normally, I go to bed around… 2-3am my time? I went to bed around 8-9pm last night. Since waking up a couple of hours ago, I’ve been crippled with a horrible migraine and nausea. Nausea is a common occurrence though

I only drove in the snow once when we had that big freeze to check on a neighbor because of everyone losing power. Was a short distance but thank god I have a Jeep, cause those slopes were gnarly

Agreed! The freeze I had in ‘21 (or ‘22) was pretty. There are so many photos of that whole week in my phone… despite us being without power for most of it XD

Big Bear was my first in-person exposure to snow (and real mountains, technically), and I’ll never forget it

It's not as far north as you, but having been to Big Bear, California and North Carolina — it was interesting to see how night and day the cold temps are here and more northern states haha

We tend to get bipolar temps around this time, but never this cold so soon (50F is really cold for us as I'm below sea level, so it's a wet-cold). The joys of being around the Gulf of Mexico haha

Oh that's right- I forgot about salting the roads. Man, I really hope y'all are able to stay safe in that regard
