He didn't get arrested by the government, that's what the first amendment protects. Hate speech is also not free speech as it is tied to hate crimes. What he experienced was the consequences of his actions. If I walk into a minority area and begin berating them, I would expect to get assaulted.

When I was a kid, final fantasy tactics story didn’t make much sense to me, but as an adult it makes so much more sense. Of course the corpse brigade doesn’t trust the word of any noble after they’ve been burned so many times by the elite!
