What a fantastic offering to us by @folukeifejola.bsky.social, rich insightful reflections and collation of resources to navigate and think through what decolonisation is. It’s one of the best I have come across. Thank you so much.

Titled 'At the crossroads of racial equity', I will offer some considerations for possible responses at this moment. I will also invite collective reflections on the opportunities and challenges of the different types of responses.

The current climate is one of a pushback against equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives. Here in the UK, an explicit focus on racial equity appears to be dwindling despite public commitments following the global hashtag#BlackLivesMatter movement and COVID-19 pandemic.

Snapshots: I spoke with 20 people in Gaza after the ceasefire. My heart broke 20 times In the aftermath of war, Gaza's people are picking up the pieces—of their homes, their families, and their lives. These 20 snapshots show what survival looks like and what it costs.

“I found her ring in the rubble, blackened, but I could still see our names engraved inside. I held it so tight it cut my palm. I didn’t feel it. All I felt was her absence.”

I talked with twenty people in Gaza after the ceasefire, who shared raw, heart-wrenching stories of grief, loss, and hope.
