I have the same preference for acrylics. I’ll sometimes use Amsterdam, but I like how W&N mixes, lies, and spreads.

I have the same gouache set. It’s probably my second favorite medium after acrylics. Although oil paints and gouache often fight for that second place.

We’ve been through a lot together, and recognize this week was particularly tough. Let's discuss:

A gouache portrait on Strathmore watercolor paper. There is a rough quality to this painting as I was exploring textures, color blocking, and light. It sort of looks like Ringo Starr, but it’s meant to be me. Art is a constant learning process and a meditative flow state for me. The blue crack near the top of the picture is where the tape delaminated my paper a bit so I patched it up with clear gesso and varnish.
