21.10.2025 03:17 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1New album available. It's a grimy, expressionist ode to a place I used to live as a kid. Naรฏve new wave-ish instrumentals and vibey nonsense, for those tuned to such wavelengths. proximapsychoacoustics.bandcamp.com/album/whynott

Wow, I thought only us Canadians were subjected to this.
14.10.2025 10:06 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It was more bonkers, and just as uneven, as I expected, but I had a good time.

10.10.2025 00:20 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Very jealous you got to see Pulp. "Slow Jam" might well be my favourite song of the year so far.

29.09.2025 03:52 โ ๐ 661 ๐ 88 ๐ฌ 8 ๐ 0On one hand, I guess it shows you're not overly attached to the past (especially when greatest successes are behind you), with a bit of carnival-barker "You ain't seen NOTHIN' yet!" hype. I always find it a bit sad, though, like praising your youngest child, using their older siblings for contrast.
26.09.2025 12:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Watching Bowie interviews, he seemed to always promote a new album at the expense of the previous album. I think part of it was just promotion-talk, or maybe it was just his excitement about the new stuff; when he didn't talk like this, you could tell he thought the new stuff sucked ("Tonight").

24.09.2025 02:29 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0"Whynott" is the new album coming out 14 Oct. It's about a place where I grew up. You can pre-order, if that's your thing; you can also hear a couple of the songs already. proximapsychoacoustics.bandcamp.com/album/whynott

02.09.2025 02:33 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Visiting family in Nova Scotia. Kind of a bummer with all the wildfires (like everywhere right now), not allowed in the woods at all ($25000 fine; they're not messing around).
However, new album's done, which is always a very nice feeling.
This is the kind of news I like to see.

As a constant listener for 8 of those years, I really appreciate the obvious care you put into creating these playlists. (Looking at various algorithm-generated Morning Mood playlists, I notice none contain any songs by Suicide; I'm convinced that's relevant.)

Believing that America can or must be good does not require one to believe that America is or was good or that Americans are more important than anyone else in the world. I don't know who it serves to insist otherwise.
