It’s nonsense to think only Andy Burnham can win the by-election. It’s also perfectly right and correct that Burnham should serve a full term as mayor. Sick of seeing politicians personal ambitions outweigh every other consideration. The public were sick of the Tories doing this.

Andy Burnham is mayor of Greater Manchester. He needs to serve a full term. If he wanted to be an MP again he should not not have stood for reelection. We had all this with the Tories and the public do not like people manoeuvring purely out of their own self interest.
