We can't do such things now, it's not the same world where every country/city on earth wants to raid and enslave their neighbors. We can make enemies realize we aren't to be Fked with by responding HARSHLY. The Russian drone incursions should have been met with Russian drone factories burning.

Rome lasted 1,000 years because if anyone ever harmed them they never forgave or forgot. They'd kill all fighting age men, enslave all the other men/women/children, and would tear your city to the foundations and erase your history. Every country was awful, Romans were just better at it.

Vatnik says Russian air defense isn't failing to shoot down drones, they are making it thru because Ukrainians are launching drones from inside Russia to attack refineries, false. If that were true how is Ukraine having a factory building plane sized attack drones inside Russia less embarrassing?

They are fighting for greed mainly, they see the bonuses and think of all the drugs, booze, and hookers it will buy. They don't think of the consequences because they are addicts, been there myself, the next high/drunk is all that matters. I have doubts they have internet if they don't have toilets.

Watching the videos of drones killing these people and you see so many that are desperate addicts, mentally ill, and poor. It seems it's half the Russian population.

Used AI to calculate what the Russian population would be today if not for deaths from wars, famines, and purges of the last century. It accounted for period birth rates, survivability, generations, etc. It would be around 237 million or 60% larger. Wars like in Ukraine have long term effects.

I had hopes that Russia would run out of homeless drunks, drug addicts, and convicts to send to die. That would force the actual middle/upper class into the fight and might bring about the end of the war. Nope, it seems they have endless waves of them. This guy doesn't even know what planet he's on.

True Size of the Battle of Cannae [Part 1] 3D DOCUMENTARY
YouTube video by Invicta True Size of the Battle of Cannae [Part 1] 3D DOCUMENTARY

This is awesome, it shows the true scale of the Battle of Cannae. I've watched a zillion videos on this battle between Rome and Carthage but the animations never do it justice. This shows how absolutely massive this fight was, one of the largest armies Rome ever assembled.

The worst part of the show is turning the Germans into peaceful farmers and "freedom fighters". They were warlike people whose livelihood depended on raiding, enslaving, and murdering other tribes and Romans settlements. The Romans were just better at it because of a unified society.

Over 20,000 people died here.

Over 20,000 people died here.

Watched Barbarians on Netflix about the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest, it was AWFUL. The Romans dying in an open field set on fire? Lol. The Romans were ambushed from a fortified hill and had no path to escape. The path was blocked, off trail was swamps, the rear was enemy cavalry led by Arminius.

Arminius was never captured or killed by Romans although his wife and son were, his son was likely raised as a gladiator and killed young. Arminius was later poisoned by members of his tribe who feared his influence. Germanicus died mysteriously, perhaps poisoned by Tiberius.

Romans destroying everything in their path forced Arminius into a decisive battle. Germanicus won but the cost of pacifying Germania was high and Tiberius feared the growing fame of Germanicus and withdrew him. If Germania had been conquered world history would have been altered dramatically.

Around 8 legions under Germanicus exacted revenge by burning farms, taking Germans as slaves, and massacring entire tribes. Arminius tried the same ambush against Germanicus but his army kept calm, formed a defensive square in the forest, and slowly advanced while slaughtering the Germans.

No single event changed the course of history as much as the Romans taking the young son of a Germanic nobleman, Arminius, hostage and raising him as a soldier. Arminius betrayed the Romans, united the German tribes, and massacred 3 legions at the Battle of Teutoburg Forest (20k men).

That's why when someone claims that land as "historically" theirs I laugh. Most everyone in that region has been intermixed with the bazillion different groups who have fought over and controlled that region of the world. Lebanese people are the most closely related to the ancient Canaanites.

I'm a big fan of studying military history. Everyone from ancient Assyria Egypt, Hittites, Babylon, Greece, Persia, Rome, Byzantium, Mongols, Ottomans, and so on have fought over and controlled that strip of land in the past 3,000 years. There's been like 20 nations/empires in that time period.

This is an older video someone dug up because they saw the horse training video, likely from summer of this year. I'm sure the guy in the back is enjoying his ride, mushed up against someone's ass who probably hasn't bathed in months.

Wild to think that Roman soldiers fought a Muslim army commanded by Muhammad himself. The Battle of Mu'tah was the first engagement Eastern Romans had with Muslim force and they fought for centuries after. Modern historians call it Byzantium but they never considered themselves anything but Roman.

I'm normally a karma type of guy, I treat others kind and hope for the best for everyone. When it comes to Russians however I hope they never experience a single moment of joy, I want their entire existence to be nothing but endless suffering until they learn to act like civilized humans.

We need to find a way to turn our roadways into solar power generation systems. Every country on earth has insane amounts of roadways getting pounded by sunlight. Find something cheap to mix with the tar that generates electricity like solar paint does. Power lines are usually right by roads, easy.

The red spots are tin deposits that were utilized during the bronze age. Every tin bronze object made during that period had to have bronze from one of those deposits, it shows the ancient world was very interconnected. Tin bars 3,200 years old found off the coast of Israel originated in Briton.

The Battle of Civitate 1053 AD. Descendants of Vikings (Normans) took on an army led by Pope Leo IX and won. They took the Pope hostage for 9 months and forced him to recognize their land holdings. They were in Italy as mercenaries fighting the Eastern Roman Empire but forged their own kingdom.

Saltwater fish garum was typically a higher grade product and more expensive. Cheaper garum would be made from larger freshwater fish. The problem with freshwater garum was it was a major source of Romans developing tapeworms which they had no cure for. Infections were widespread and lifelong.

One of the Romans favorite condiments was called garum. It was made by taking small raw fish like anchovies, layering them in salt, and letting it ferment in the sun for months. At the end the liquid was strained out and used in cooking or sauces. There was a downside to its popularity though.

Best news I've seen in a LONG time, $60 a barrel oil, expectations it will go lower due to OPEC production increases to regain market share. With the discounts India/China receives on Russian oil you can figure they are getting $55 per barrel or less. Russia budgeted $70 per barrel in 2025.

I doubt they'll run out but I know one strike on storage tanks at the start of the year took out 800 MILLION in jet fuel. I would imagine losing almost a billion dollars in jet fuel hurt really really really bad.

This documentary blew my mind. Widescreen in HD and has CGI scenes like in a modern show. It's a French documentary about ancient Sumeria/Mesopotamia dubed into English. Then I saw currency with Saddam's face, it was filmed in 1999. Widescreen, HD, CGI in 1999-2000? WTF?

It's not just something though, it's one of the primary non nuclear deterrent weapons in the US arsenal and there's not a lot of them. Plus the ground based launchers are in short supply. Given current world events I have serious doubts the US will give any of that specific missile up, maybe others.
