Perhaps there is something good about living in one place for more than three decades, seeing people and things change and disappear over time... I can understand a character better when writing it.

I walked all the way back, memories coming back to me. I saw the cemetery, a church and a bunch of shops that had closed down; things that change.

I didn't get to have lunch (the place where I used to eat closed down)... but I thought a lot during the walk and I came to a rather useful conclusion.

Today, I went to an far area from the city (I had to pick up medicine for my cat). Since it was still downtown, I decided to walk back, go to a mall and eat. And I got ‘lost’.

I didn't remember ever having been in those parts, but apparently a very drunk teenage Jack had.

In another universe, there was a very happy Jack in Paldea with his cooler Skeledirge; because the design was different.

Not me... And that's okay! 🤷‍♂️

That's kinda my problem: I don't see the Dia de Los Muertos.
Like, there's so much going on in his design that I just find it noisy. Inspirations from Coca, alebrije, possible inspiration from Egypt, a maestro, a mariachi... and in the end it reminds me more of an ugly, cylindrical (and bald) clown.

I finished the game and the DLCs without a Paldea starter in my teams (which was fun, ngl).

And like, since Alola (when I saw Litten and said "MINE"), every gen reveals its starters and I'm just like "meh... I don't know". From Paldea, at first I loved Fuecoco and thought Sprigatito was boring... after level 36, that reversed 🤷‍♂️

Meowscarada is "okay" to me (I like their theatricality).

I think it was "traumatic" for me (which makes sense for the ghost type, but not intentional). I remember the exact spot where it went from a Crocalor (that I liked a lot) to the ugliest mf I've ever seen. I tried to see if it would grow on me, but no.
It's the only starter I ever sent to the box...

Idc, he's bald and a clown. I don't get along with clowns, guys (I'm enough). I don't know what it is, but it's a horrible design 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚.

Ya going to call me crazy, but:
- I'm not a furry (I find fursuits weird, I hate it when people eroticise a Pokémon, Digimon, Sonic or Maliketh)
- My favourite starter is Incineroar
- I hate Skeledirge (fuecoco and crocalor are fire, but he is so ugly that I beat the game with him in the box)

Or maybe Fire/Fairy? 'Cuz is kinda cute.

Oh, damn! They're going to do Fire/Fighter again but with a dog, aren't they?

Pombon scares me, because if they make a bigger fire dog, it could end up looking a lot like Arcanine... or they could just make its fur grow out like an explosion. So maybe we'll have a bipedal dog that, unlike Delphox, is more physical and has greater defense...

My thoughts on the starters of the next Pokémon (which nobody asked for)

Browt - lame; proving that only Rowlet, Turtwig, and Treecko are only cool grass starters.
Pombon - I liked their vibe (it's a dog), but for the first time I'll be annoyed if it evolves into a biped.
Gecqua - Sobble, but cool.
