Guardians’ Emmanuel Clase, Luis Ortiz indicted on charges linked to illegal sports betting Ortiz was arrested Sunday in Boston and will appear in court Monday. Clase was not in custody as of early Sunday afternoon.

Like, we knew it was gonna be bad, but that doesn’t make the allegations any less shocking.

It appears the Rockies and Angels are locked in an intense head-to-head battle to claim that title. Loser has to sign a successful free agent (like the normies do).

And in that pause between pitch and contact - longer than logic, shorter than hope - we remembered why baseball existed long before we judged a sport's value by viral moments and betting apps. It is the romance of failure. The mortal beauty of trying and missing seven times out of 10 and still being considered great. It is the only sport where patience is a weapon, and panic the surest death.
