The No. 1 Country Song in America is AI-Generated

The No. 1 Country Song in America is AI-Generated

I've been seeing this headline floating around. To be clear:

1) This is "No. 1" on a miniscule chart, The "Country Digital Song Sales" chart, as in people actually paying money to download country songs which is a tiny amount of people

2) The actual consumers are almost certainly fake

โ€˜An Overwhelmingly Negative And Demoralizing Forceโ€™: What Itโ€™s Like Working For A Company Thatโ€™s Forcing AI On Its Developers - Aftermath 'I have had conversations about AI in a professional context that make me want to walk into the sea'

I feel like devs and CEOs need to accept that a consequence of using gen AI is that a lot of people wonโ€™t like it. Thatโ€™s just the case as it is and the risks you take

Exclusive: Here's How Much OpenAI Spends On Inference and Its Revenue Share With Microsoft As with my Anthropic exclusive from a few weeks ago, though this feels like a natural premium piece, I decided it was better to publish on my free one so that you could all enjoy it. If you liked or f...

The Extraordinary Power of Standing For Something Winning by creating vision in the positive space of shared standards, and expertly negotiating the negative space of shame.

Today I wrote about Zohran Mamdani's historic win, the energizing power of holding to shared principles of decency, and a taxonomy of the endlessly intertwined relationship between shame and vision. www.the-reframe.com/the-extraord...

guy said, โ€œDo you like Marx?โ€

I said, โ€œI havenโ€™t met him.โ€

Guy said, โ€œNo, no, heโ€™s dead.โ€

โ€œWow, what happened?โ€

โ€œNo, no, he died long ago.โ€

I thought the guy Marx had just died. So then, โ€œWhy are you asking me if he died long ago?โ€

โ€œNo, he wrote a lot. He wrote that poor people should not be poor.โ€

I said, โ€œSounds amazing.โ€

Iโ€™m giving you a sense of how naรฏve I was. After they left, I went to the library to look for Marx. So that was my introduction to Karl Marx.

BS: The FBI.

MM: The FBI. Then, of course, I took a class on Marx. Couldnโ€™t just get Marx out of the library. But,

No matter how hard people try to convince us having empathy is wrong,

it is right.

No matter how hard people try to convince us that diversity is a weakness,

it is a strength.

No matter how hard people try to convince us that love is limited,

it is unlimited.

As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.

The way forward is together, not over the bodies of our own.

I was smiling for almost the entire speech. Only a few small worrisome parts like "working hand in hand with cops" made me stop. Overall the best political speech I've heard in years. I really hope he can deliver on the promises he made and that he inspires more candidates like him across the USA.

Just finished watching the new mayor of new york's victory speech. I'm too tired and cynical to completely buy into it, we'll see what he actually delivers next year and i hope people will hold him accountable, but overall? god damn. What a voice, what a charisma, saying the things that we needed.

@aoc.bsky.social says of Mamdani victory: "A lot of people...are willing to talk about party unity when it serves them, but not party unity when it serves everybody."

"We have a future to fight for, and we're either going to do that together or you're going to be left behind."

Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

Tonight's even more proof the mainstream reporters who are still on Twitter are suffering from a brain problem akin Havana Syndrome that is preventing them from accurately doing their jobs. They are being cooked alive by a snuff-focused apartheid algorithm.

ACA = โ€œObamacareโ€. Same thing. Its proof that many white folks would rather shoot off their own foot if they knew something helped a black or latino person get by too. Its no different from how they used to fill public pools with cement during integration resulting in everyone being hot & miserable.
