That’s not bad.

Our trick is to get the 7yo to lie still. Once he does, he clearly gets bored and just falls asleep 😂 us just sitting in the room seems to help with this, occasionally we need to lie with him

Yeah, we did discuss it with the paediatrician. Haven’t tried it yet. But may try it. Most nights he’s fine. We might have 1 night every 2ish weeks where he won’t fall asleep. Even then, on those nights we normally have him asleep by 9:30 at the latest

He’s a little too excited for his school trip to the swimming pool tomorrow

Not really a typical thing in a fruit salad.

He did thoroughly enjoy it. And ate it all.

His Grandad however, was not impressed when he tried putting cucumbers in his fruit salad 😂

There’s clearly a sports day or something at the local college. All the teens are dressed in outrageous outfits in specific colours. He absolutely loved seeing their outfits

Walking to school this morning it’s obvious that the 7yo enjoys it due to being able to talk to everyone else who is walking to work/school

One of the toys I had taken off the 7yo started randomly making noises at 3:30am.

I did not go back to sleep properly 😴

I can’t remember exactly what I said one day to him. But I remember him getting upset and saying “you don’t love me anymore”. That day was when I realised I need to be really careful with my words!

That sounds like something my 6yo would say. It’s so hard to explain why I don’t feel sad about being alone without accidentally hurting his feelings! 😂

The official day one lf Movin’ March, the rain and freezing cold weather has meant that we will not be walking to school 😮‍💨

The 7yo had a quick appointment at the hospital today.

After it, the nurse gave him an ice block.

That did not help with his belief that you always get an ice block when you go to the hospital 😂

We passed a group of firefighters striking today while on the bus

I literally used our local library today just to sit in while I waited for the bus. It was way too cold to sit at the bus stop. And the bus stop is right outside the front door. I could even see the bus sign that told me how far away the bus was from where I was sitting!

Lucky. I’ve still got 2 more to get. And the McDonalds we normally go to is currently closed for refurbishment!

I’d just been telling Mum that it’s been a few weeks since we had to deal with a meltdown from the 7yo…

At least the one I just dealt with was only 30 minutes long.

But I’m now shattered and have no energy to cook dinner

We have to bus to the 7yo’s appointment too!

I am so grateful that the library is right beside the bus stop where we change buses. Much warmer waiting in there

One of the kids in the 7yo’s football team just got a goal, complained it hurt them… “I’m getting old” 😂
