What’s incredible though is that Toby Perkins MP, chair of the Environmental Audit Committee actually voted against Amendment 40 (prev.130) effectively going against the findings of his own committee. The whip is stronger than morals it seems. @georgemonbiot.bsky.social

This is exactly what we’ve been saying for months and have the evidence to back it up. Unlike the government who have zero evidence or justification for their approach. They are basically destroying what’s left of our wildlife to line the pockets of the big housing companies.

Worrying reports of bird flu (avian influenza) are coming in, including an outbreak in Whooper Swans in the Fens. Other waterbirds are also being affected, and cases are rising.
