Braced myself to wish them a happy birthday today. I got an "i love you" again after so many years. I love you. I love you too. I hope I'll love you for the rest of my life, even as a mere spectator.

They go by a different name now. Sometimes I can't help but think of them by the name i used to call them when we were twelve. But years later i thought I was simply over them. Friendships end eventually.

I still follow them on my personal twitter and see them every day. Through their ups and downs, and sometimes it hurts a little to think that I'm no longer a part of that. I'm a mere spectator of their world when i used to be the first one to know everything about them.

It's my middle school best friend's birthday today. We used to be so close, there was never a day that I didn't talk to them. I thought we're gonna be friends forever but it came to a point where we just drifted away. We don't like the same things anymore and we just ran out of things to talk about.
