Chihayafuru ssn 3 complete

Season 4, Season 4, season 4! It was the best season yet.

Really satisfying arc about growth, potential, limits, and sunk cost. It's the rare kind of anime that has something to offer for ages 8-80. It's rare to see a show that deeply focuses on a cast of so many ages.

I rather like how organic the gag bits are in chihayafuru ssn 3, they’re jokes for the audience, but they have that hard to achieve quality of, “that‘s so funny… but it could totally happen”.

It’s been easy to watch for a stretch since this show naturally lubricates my eyes.

Good for all ages.

The more I watch this show, the more apparent that the writing relies on caricature to define its cast… It’s clever quick and dirty work, but despite that the characters easily breathe and feel like complete people. just finished the Meijin matches. Figured I’d watch the last 9 as 1.

I‘m really enjoying the existential dread of this season of Chihayafuru… taking attention off Chihaya has given the show room to spend time showing what the other characters get from the game, and what they have to lose…

I most liked the classic space grey, green, yellow with the blacktron II window configuration. I like how you find ways to get odd tires and weird window options and spread them out across the month, and How you pace the size of the builds to guarantee you have something that shines everyday.

Predator Badlands
I'm usually only cursorily interested in Predator as that other franchise -re Alien. This time I really liked this movie. Between this, Alien Romulus, and Alien Earth, it feels like we're in a golden age of Weyland Yutani movies and shows. I might check out Prey and The Predator.

Right as Haruka Inokuma finished her match with Megumi it hit me... but I looked it up just to be sure.

Maaya Sakamoto!!!!!!!!!!! I've thought of Shinobu Wakamiya as the show's Ryougi Shiki character for all these long years and now the real mvp shows up.

Hadn't seen this one since right after college, or all the way back in Highschool. It was one I really liked back when I first saw it, and I still think it's a better than average James Bond movie, which is pretty good for being the 1st.

Dude, I love that garage element laser! Nifty part reuse.

A Classic Blue/Grey/transparent yellow Classic Space Rover in the shape of a tractor, but with an exotic matter detector nose, and a quik-lab for appropriate matter collection. The rear has grey box 'saddlebags' for Matter storage.

I spent 95% of the movie not knowing what my friends had turned on, spending the whole time needing to know what the heck we were watching.

I was watching documentary evidence of my EMT/ paramedic friends' stories of what their job was like. This movie is excellent and I recommend it.

Kept dragging my feet, and was thinking I'd get to episode 5 today... well the story arc didn't stop, so I didn't stop.... there's no drop off in quality, and the story is flowing naturally... why did I put this off for soo looong? I'm loving this season.

I'd have to listen to it again, it seemed all right, but the song didn't stand out to me. What I paid attention to was the women going monochromatic and separating out their motions. It reminded me of Sayaka's Rebellion transformation.

License to Kill

Finally, a James Bond Movie I haven't seen. It became a running gag for a while that I'd start a 007 film with friends and go, can't wait, never seen this one, and then realize a few minutes in that I had. This new one was pretty good, not as high tech as I prefer though.

GL,HF,DD part 2...

There isn't any deep substance to discuss with the film... I would kinda describe it like the Mad Max of Time Travel. I'm mostly thinking about the hockey armor everyone was wearing in 'The Road Warrior'. This is that level of rogue cinema in a Hollywood package.

It felt like one of those campfire stories where everyone keeps passing the story around. It adds zany, unwieldy elements en masse to lend itself momentary awesomeness.

Basically 'You had to have been there when it was getting cooked up to really get into it.'

I finally started it. I think I unsealed the case a year or 2 ago… episode 1 is pretty nice, but some of the voices sound slightly off to me, and in this show… sound is everything. The cast sounds different? or older (of course they are). I wanna look at the cast list.

I started Okamikakushi years and years ago on episode 1 and maybe episode 2, and I dropped it thinking it was gonna be a poor showing, and not worth $90, the going rate for a 12 episode show back when it was new

I suddenly had an itch to watch it 16 years later and got it for cheap. It was nice.

It's got a lot of little quality of life elements like nice music, atmospheric night time scenery, Peach Pit character designs, and murdery folkloric wolf-->(artistically distinct vampire) shenanigans that I'm quite at home watching.

War of the Rohirrim

I haven't seen a Middle Earth movie this good since Return of the King. I keep calling it Lord of the Rings and then correcting myself; oh wait, Middle Earth, duh doy... because it is Lord of the Rings.

Journeyman: Jack Vasser, Livia Beale, Dan Vasser, and Katie Vasser. 4 of the major characters in the NBC TV show about a time traveler.

My friend restarted me on Journeyman. I've now seen the 1st 3 episodes twice and need to get back to finishing it. I was in the middle somewhere. I always come up with something else to do first even though I really like what I've seen of the show. Knowing it never finished doesn't propel me.

Wrecking Crew didn't work for me... but you know what action movie does work for me?

Bullet Train. This was my introduction to Bad Bunny, and most of what I know him for since I've now watched it 3 times. I also dig Brad Pitt as the 'out of his depth' thief in a train full of assassins.

It should surprise no one that I finished the Adventures of Baron Munchausen. I had a good time with it with my friends...

bleah... what a stupidly planned film. It's a mixture of wanting to have fun and be taken seriously, and it shambles at both.

I'm a bit late, but I watched the Bad Bunny Halftime show.

If it was just Bad Bunny Singing I'd think yeah, that's alright. The set preparation is incredible. I just looked up a timelapse of the setup and saw a hundred+ Sugar Canes walking into position...

Amazing setup.

A Grey car in the Legoland town style made with Classic Space grey and black-with non-production red convertible windows. Pulling a little grey and white space scooter on the trailer.

The Classic Red Spaceman gets out of their car and heads for the scooter. The way I designed this car is meant to evoke the simple charm of a Classic Legoland Town car pulling a small boat.

One of these is the Space version of a nice small Legoland town truck hauling a boat (Scooter).

The other one is a pair of small Lego Race cars.

Classic Space 1557 Space Scooter. It looks like an itty bitty rocket with itty bitty wings and (COUNTEM) 5 THRUSTERS and a chair with joysticks. I'm sure it's perfectly safe. Color scheme is blue wings, grey rocket tip, and underwing thrusters, black thrusters in back and on sides of white chair. Piloted by a red Classic Space minifigure.

Blacktron Recolor of the 1557 Space Scooter. It looks like an itty bitty rocket with itty bitty wings and (COUNTEM) 5 THRUSTERS and a chair with joysticks. I'm sure it's perfectly safe. Piloted by a Blacktron Minifigure This one is black with white highlights and transparent red like the late run 1990 Meteor Monitor Blacktron set. Early Blacktron is primarily black and yellow.

Unitron recolor of 1557 Space Scooter. It looks like an itty bitty rocket with itty bitty wings and (COUNTEM) 5 THRUSTERS and a chair with joysticks. I'm sure it's perfectly safe. Piloted by the Unitron Chief. (Grey shirt with yellow armor print and black/yellow key clipped to left side of chest . -Yellow helmet with cool black, silver, yellow, and blue print on top. Unitron color scheme is primarily grey and black with some blue rockets, a touch of transparent neon green and transparent dark blue. I turned the itty bitty wings the wrong way on this recolor, so it's a slight bit different in its look.

I brought in another Classic Space set, I only realized after I got it that it's perfect timing... it's from the year I was born and it's almost my birthday.

Now I'm not saying I'm obsessed with 1557 Space Scooter

but I do rather like the little thing.
