@rogermarshallmd.bsky.social This man seems a bit confused. Did people really elect him?

Really, @rogermarshallmd.bsky.social ??? Ice cream is healthy? And dyes were only culprit? Maybe nutrition wasn’t offered during your medical studies.

Don't worry: if Mike Pence ever manages to resurrect his political career, I'm sure his courage will be thrown overboard as fast as the lifeboats on the Titanic.

This Democrat Won’t Let Go of the Jeffrey Epstein Case, Either

New bombshell from my investigators on Epstein's sex trafficking operation: the Trump administration has an Epstein file detailing 4,725 wire transfers and almost $1.1 billion flowing through just one of his banks. Hundreds of millions more through others.

To expand on what I said above: spending government funds on something like public broadcasting, which benefits nearly every American in some way, is obviously detrimental when those funds could be used to extend the 2017 tax cuts for the top 1%. That said, PBS is merely a drop in the bucket.

And speaking for myself and every one of my Republican colleagues in the Senate, we're all glad to finally be able to agree with Senator Van Hollen on something.

Van Hollen: "The real problem is Republicans refuse to ask billionaires to contribute more to the overall good of the country ... they have an obsession with giving tax cuts to very rich people and big corporations and everything else is sacrificed for that cause."

To be fair, Mr. Kinzinger, President Trump has been fully focused on pushing his Big Beautiful Bill across the finish line before his self-imposed deadline of July 4th.

So, Russian sanctions can wait: he, I, and other rich Republicans need our damn tax cut ASAP!

Why Did a 75-Year-Old Man in Poor Health Just Die in ICE Custody? Isidro Perez came to the United States from Cuba nearly 60 years ago. This is who Stephen Miller is going after now?

Just awful: A 75-year-old man just died in ICE custody, ICE has revealed in a notice to Congress.

But here's the rub: This man, a Cuban national, was first paroled into the US in 1966β€”nearly 60 years ago! They were set to deport him anyway.

Details in my new piece:

Trump’s β€œBig Beautiful Bill” is moving forward after he threatened Senators.

$150 billion for immigration raids
$45 billion for private prisons
$30,000 ICE bonuses
11.8 million could lose Medicaid
Millions cut from SNAP

They are building a police state with our money.

This Supreme Court is not a judicial court, but a royal court.

They exist not to apply the laws of this nation fairly for all its citizens but rather to prop up the king and attend to his needs and his needs alone.

27.06.2025 14:50 β€” πŸ‘ 3327    πŸ” 851    πŸ’¬ 83    πŸ“Œ 28

So we have an unconstitutional Supreme Court.

Which begs the question: if the Supreme Court keeps nullifying the very document that gives the Supreme Court its authority, why should anyone recognize the authority of the Supreme Court?

The left is finally on the trail of what actually motivates every ruling by the Supreme Roberts Court, but that changes exactly nothing. Republicans RULE, baby!

27.06.2025 15:46 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

there is no jurisprudence at work here. the republican court believes that anything a republican president is presumptively constitutional, even if it directly violates the unambiguous constitutional text and causes total chaos in law and policy.

I was actually ridiculed by (some) of my shipmates in the Navy for my β€œbook larnin’”. Anti-intellectualism has a long & shameful history in America. Isaac Asimov captured the attitude perfectly: β€œβ€˜My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’” He said this decades before social media.

Elon Musk gave about $250 million more to Republicans than the next closest Democratic billionaire (Bloomberg). Dems have nothing closeβ€”except low-dollar online donors, which is why Trump’s going after ActBlue.

Quick summary of Starship test flight 9:

Booster exploded during landing burn. Ship reached space, but doors wouldn’t open for satellite deployment. Shortly after, ship began to tumble uncontrollably and broke up during reentry.

Not as spectacular as flights 7 & 8, but still a failure.

You may think given its latest failure that Space X's Starship is a bigger disaster than DOGE. This is not true. Starship still might work after its many disappointments and setbacks. DOGE will not.
