be interested to read more. I get the argument in the legal sense but I think the social use of it (the marxist version if you like) does describe something useful - not a system and not all encompassing but still the primary means by which surplus was extracted by one class from another

depends what is meant by feudalism though doesn't it. it's useful as a term for the space between slavery and wage labour - peasants/subsistence farmers with a fairly high degree of every day autonomy but tied to land (and surplus value expropriated in produce)

quite a modern idea isn't it, that you can and should only extend solidarity or compassion to groups of people who share similar values. conveniently means you can pick and choose which people to be arsed about dying. very silly.

ah ok so this place is like mastodon, or will be - diversified across loads of servers, all that. my issue with mastodon is that I signed up but there was nothing there. or I couldn't find it. I mean it looked like twitter, just empty. this place looks like twitter but just the gang, so far so good
