my oldest daughter got to carry the olympic torch when it came through our town on its way to the 2002 salt lake city winter olympics. i ran along the edge of the street with my camcorder.
that's my olympic moment. 😊

just to clarify, the 1980 usa men's hockey team did not win the gold medal 46 years ago today. they beat the soviets in the "miracle on ice" game. they won the gold medal 2 days later, by beating finland 4-2 in an exciting game that was tied going into the 3rd period. i remember. #olympics
