You'll find me on another social platform in my bio. Please, artists and other community members, make a contingency plan to move elsewhere. Hell, maybe even make it the secondary social media that you use. Just so long as you don't stick yourself to one place and not have anywhere to go.

I hate to sound sour like this but when you lie about how we're able to convince these suckers into getting our way, and continue to think we'll just "weather the storm" as we lose our community members, it makes people feel unsupported.

btw, if you need help with finding a space:
- Go for instances that have sign-ups be manually reviewed, these are more trusted
- Instances focused around a topic normally allow "off-topic," you're just united with a common interest
- You'll probably want an app like "Fedilab" for a better time

i'm tired of rich slimeballs running everything and would rather deal with the myriad of community leaders and members that live there. i would rather overcome my choice paralysis than hoping they "see it in their heart" or "maybe they will just give it to us."

i'm feeling a lot of doubt right now and how much we bend our backs over just in case they "listen" or something sounds a lot like "pray hard enough and give us money and it will happen"

maybe we can take some time to make a contingency plan. mastodon, fediverse, whatever else have you.

you know, after the fall-through with Bluesky's new TOS, I'm convinced that these people eventually plugged their ears at some point and have long-crutched on their "ignore it and it will go away."

i'd encourage calling but they don't have a customer support line or anything like that.
