also for litten and sprigatitos case i doubt you can just walk into a pet store and leave with a tiger/panther like that- i think they're based off of people "saving" wildcats when they're kittens and then realizing they're not a housecat a bit too late

it doesnt get any bigger, it's hair just overtakes it's entire body and it somehow gets stronger by being floofier

the sobble line i assume takes inspiration from chameleons iirc

but with sprigatito and litten i believe that trope is a known thing people have done IRL, where they take wildcats in when they're kittens, and then they grow up, and they realize they are NOT normal housecats a bit too late lmao

starters have a "exotic/rare pet" theme unifying them, even the 'exceptions', litten and sprigatito evolve into a tiger and panther, and scorbunny being the most normal, still fits the theme as bunnies are still uncommon as pets

it's weird but i have faith pombon will be a wolf by it's final evo
