Now replace the skin color and the hair with fairer one. Would you accept it? Would you stay heartless? Would you stay cold to them?

The Gazan child who wears the American-Jewish idea of Superman is likely killed by Israeli fire.
Imagine a tiny young boy in a Superman cape lying under rubble, his cape fluttering with holes of gunfire.

Here's the idea: a child in Gaza, who has either seen or read a Superman comic or film, associates himself with the idea of the American superhero that was created by Jewish artists.
The child does not possess any power but that of hope.

Earlier, I came across this peculiar post: a Palestinian child wearing the Superman cape. I cannot verify the reality of that image, but I've found that it dates back to November 2024.

When humor becomes a threat to fragile stability, one must question their own reality. The repetition of history should be a stark warning for everyone.

The only problem I see with that critical part of the film is the need for the savior. However, it is a Superman film at the end of the day.

The two countries present very strong parallels to Israel and Palestine and the on-going war on Gaza. And while it could be a more subtle hint to the Russian-Ukraine war, they are far milder.

The most critical aspect of the film is the war between the two countries. To my knowledge, the conflict between Jahnapur and Boravia is not included in any comic book. And the countries themselves are original to the film.

The version of the Kents that appear on the new Superman is the most grounded, down-to-earth, and perhaps human version.
While I have always been a fan of Snyder's god-like version of the DC superheroes, the mannerism and appearance of the Kents sold the idea to me!

There are two major takeaways from that version of Superman. First, he can make mistakes, he succumbs to anger at moments and he is not the cleverest of the strongest version of Superman. The second is that Krypto is the most fun part of the fun film!
