How should I save these Apple, Pear & Lilac trees blown over by storm Darragh? If I dig a hole under them & try to stand them up, am I likely to damage any intact roots in the ground. Also if I do that, should I do any pruning?

That was last Weds morning driving on A39 from Lynmouth to Porlock. One at top of Porlock hill & other, I think, from near Kipscombe

Bit different from this morning - I haven't seen such thick fog, driving along, I could only see 2 cats eyes at a time!

I was going to say the same - always got told off for that when I was a nipper!
