Choosing violence this morning?

Seeing MN stuff has often made me think "I want to go there and help in the fight!" but then one μs later I remember I live in Portland and I am still needed in the fight here...

I know some folks have misgivings about the big protests and don't think they will accomplish very much but I go to any of them I can get to because it makes me feel less crazy

but it has also helped me have grace for friends that I knew lied to me, in small ways.

In some cases, that is good! (The whole "honesty without tact is cruelty" thing). Keeping that in mind at all times helps serve as a warning to check things out before I react, when possible. YMMV, of course. It is a depressing worldview sometimes,

As an AuADHD myself, a mindset that has served me well is "all human interaction contains deceit/manipulation". Even if they are not trying to, and have good intent, everyone alters tone, omits details, embellishes others, etc.

There's a riot declared near the ice facility in Portland and DHS agents have pulled lethal guns on protesters with live ammo at least four times the last half hour

I did this same mix, until later in the game when I had two unique wands, and discovered the awesomeness of dual wands... So fast, so much damage, and all the elemental effects. Just melts things.

Always thought the star terms were a little cringe, but this one I have used. It is a really good analogy to describe my relationship with a couple people, especially to to non-poly people. It is hard to capture the essence of it better.
